What is this?

Wifih4x0r is a collection of hardware. It has its own access point which makes it easier to connect to it, because of it is connected to the access point by ethernet its BCM43438 WiFi chip is free for use of the wireless hacking tools. Uses patched Kali Linux Raspberry Pi 3 image, which makes Monitor Mode and Packet Injection work with the internal wifi chip. Can be used as a portable pentesting device.

Wiring Up

One of the advantages of wifih4x0r is its super compact size when it is combined with a pocket router/modem so you may need to use short cables.

Open the box of TL-WR702N and take out the chip.

You can cut the cable cover for saving some space.

Connect the ethernet cable from Raspberry Pi 3 to TL-WR702N.

Connect the micro usb cable from TL-WR702N to Raspberry Pi 3.

Do the cabling.

Use your Hacker skills to do the perfect cabling, for making it as portable as possible.


Operating System Download & Installation

Normally Pi 3’s BCM43438 WiFi chip doesn’t support monitor mode. After the patch Monitor Mode works great(also the Packet Injection). So this is saving us from getting external wifi cards.

Go to https://build.nethunter.com/rpi3-nexmon/ and download kali-0.6-rpi3.img.xz compressed file which includes the Pi 3 image.

On this video I showed how to hack wifi using the Raspberry Pi 3, wifih4x0r is using the same installation and hacking method on this video but the thing that makes wifih4x0r unique is that you can connect to it everywhere because it has a mini router on it.

 

 

 

 


Configuring the TP-Link Router

From your phone or computer connect to the wireless connection of our mini router. Default name(SSID) and the password of the router is on the back of the router’s plastic case.

Default settings may change depending on the version you bought.

When you connect to the router, go to the router interface.(It’s written under the Default Settings: label on back of the plastic case. Not just ip, it can be tplinklogin.net too.)

You will be asked to enter username and password. By default username and password is admin. You will see a page like down below:

Now to configure it click on “Quick Setup

Choose the AP Mode(Access Point)

Choose a SSID and Password for your router and click next.

Now go to Network-> LAN and choose “Static IP” on Access Type. After this it will reboot.

When you reconnect go to DHCP-> DHCP Clients List, you will see the Raspberry Pi 3 on the network and its local ip, note that local ip because we will need it to connect to it remotely.

Controlling it over your phone or computer

Now we need to control our pi 3 over another device. You need to be connect to the mini router from the device you want to control pi 3. Secure Shell (SSH) is a UNIX-based command interface and protocol for securely getting access to a remote computer. It is widely used by network administrators to control Web and other kinds of servers remotely.


Remote Access over Android/IOS

Download and install the application. Connect to TP-Link router’s wifi on the phone.

Once you open the application type:

ssh [email protected]

192.168.0.100 is the local ip of pi 3 on our router. Check the previous steps to see how you can find out the local ip of it.

Hit enter type yes, now you will be asked to enter a password:

by default the password is toor


Remote Access over Mac/Linux

Commect to the TP-Link router’s wifi and open up a terminal, then type:

ssh [email protected]

192.168.0.100 is the local ip of pi 3 on our router. Check the previous steps to see how you can find out the local ip of it.

Congratz!!! all the configuration is done and you are connected to your wifih4x0r’s command line where you will give commands to control it.
